Don’t be confused… we’re here to help

Understandably you will want to ask many questions, so we thought to make it easier for you as we face many questions every day. Most probably what we get asked, is what you want to ask. Below are the most frequently asked questions and their answers.

Alternatively, you can contact us if the below does not help you.

How do you recruit your Home Care Assistants?

One of the most important aspects of our service is the provision of Home Care Assistants who demonstrate a passion to assist older people to live full, independent lives, are empathetic, understanding and able to provide highly professional care services.

If applicants show that they have the character, qualities and capabilities to become a Esteemed Life Home Care Assistant’s they must undergo thorough, employment checks; these include provision of 3 references an enhanced criminal background check and the undertaking of extensive, ongoing training.

What makes Esteemed Life Care different from other companies?

  • We are not an agency. We are a local community experienced care provider with over 30+ years of knowledge
  • Our homecare assistant are recruited directly by us, which means we deal with the administration of payroll, taxes etc. and we hold public and employers liability insurance.
  • Our Care Managers visit clients on a regular basis to re-assess needs, support the homecare assistant’s and monitor the quality of the service.
  • We have been awarded Top 10 for both 2017 and 2018 in the West Midlands, in recognition of the quality of services we provide across Coventry and Warwickshire.

What are your rates and minimum hours of service?

Rates and service hours vary depending on your needs. Please contact your local Esteemed Life Care office to speak to us regarding our rates. However, we highly encourage you to organise a free no obligation care assessment so we can offer you an accurate cost.

We discourage in assessing care needs over the phone only, without seeing the client. As looking for care for your loved one is not like purchasing an object e.g. car or furniture. The service we provide is for an esteemed life of a human which requires physically assessing, seeing and hearing their wishes and preferences. We do have introductory offers for new clients who join. Call in for more details.

Do you provide care services to those in nursing homes or other retirement facilities?

Yes, Esteemed Life Care Home Care Assistant’s provide services to residents in retirement and nursing homes who may require additional attention or personalised long term care.

Does Esteemed Life Care have a minimum length of service?

Depending on the service you require, there may be some minimum terms attached. These terms are designed so you will receive the high standard of care you deserve.

What would a typical care service cost me?

The price depends entirely on the service you require. Our prices are competitive, yet reflect the high quality service provided. Before committing to any service you will be given a full price breakdown for the personalised care required.

What happens if I get admitted to hospital?

If you had to be admitted to hospital or were advised that respite for a short time would be beneficial to you, we would need to be notified as soon as possible. We would cancel your visits for that duration and then upon your return home discuss with you how you would like to use the hours you have paid for but not used. We can either extend your contract by the number of hours outstanding or you can use them differently, such as for additional support for a few days to get you settled back at home.

What happens if my carer doesn’t arrive?

This is a very rare occurrence. If we know that your assigned Carer is unable to tend to you on a particular day, we will let you know as soon as possible and make arrangements for an alternative Care Team Member to attend. However, other circumstance may arise such as they can be caught in traffic, so if your Carer does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, please let us know.

What if my circumstances change?

If your health improved or deteriorated, we would pick up on this during our reviews and with feedback from your Care team. A full Care Plan review would then be organised at your convenience and agreements would be made as to the best way forward to ensure that your care needs continue to be met.
